Christian Kleiner is the managing partner of SCOPUS Legal, a law firm with offices in Nuremberg and Hamburg.
Christian Kleiner read law at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg and from 1994 to 2010 worked for international financial institutions as general counsel in leading positions. His scope comprised legal advice to management boards, the transaction management of syndicate transactions, the legal structuring and facilitation of international transactions in capital markets, company take-overs, privatizations and legal risk oversight.
He advised on a considerable number of disputes and lawsuits (inter alia on parliamentary investigations). Moreover, Christian Kleiner advises international investors on claims against sovereign issuers.
Currently Christian Kleiner delivers distinct legal advice to corporate clients from various branches, e.g. renewable energy, chemical industry and financial institutions on all relevant legal aspects of their businesses. In addition, he acts as compliance officer for a German asset manager and serves as board member to a stock corporation that is engaged in mining and exploration.
